Renowned Nigerian actor John Okafor, also referred to as Mr. Ibu in the country’s entertainment industry, had his leg amputated in order to preserve his life, according to a statement released by his family.
According to a statement posted by his family on his official Instagram page, Mr. Ibu had seven successful surgeries; however, the doctors recommended amputating his leg to preserve his life.

The family is still looking for help to speed up his recuperation in the interim.
“At this point, Daddy’s is still a very delicate one, and he needs all the help he can get. Please, we are still soliciting support from well-meaning Nigerians,” the statement continued.
