The release of his most recent EP, “Sticks N Locs,” has brought the legendary Ghanaian musician Samini back to the radio.
This joint effort, which consists of six soul-stirring songs, showcases Samini and renowned drummer Francis Osei’s dynamic collaboration.

Every song on “Sticks N Locs,” which was recorded live and brimming with authenticity, displays Samini and Osei’s combined abilities. Samini contributed his trademark mix of poignant lyrics and soulful vocals to the EP, while Osei handled the composition, instrumentation, and engineering.
The moniker of the EP, Sticks N Locs, honours the two artists’ partnership. The “locs” are represented by Samini’s distinctive dreadlocks, while Osei’s skill with the drumsticks stands for the “sticks,” demonstrating a smooth merging of their musical personas.
Of the six songs, three have just been released as singles: “Heartbeat,” “Stay with You,” and “Cash Down.” The other three, “Chemistry,” “San Bra,” and “Be Alright,” have already received positive reviews. The EP, which embraces the lovers rock reggae theme, promises to enchant listeners with its charming melodies and meaningful lyrics.
