I will win TGMA Artiste of the Year at the right time – Kofi Kinaata
Despite concerns from some music enthusiasts about Kofi Kinaata’s lack of previous wins in the Artiste of the Year category at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), the highlife maestro remains optimistic about clinching the prestigious title in the future.
In an exclusive interview with Roselyn Felli on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning Show, the crooner, real name Martin King Arthur, talked about the pressure from his fans and expressed his faith that he would receive the award in good time.

He emphasised that everyone has a specific moment in their career trajectory and continued to express confidence in the timing of his success.
There is time for everyone, despite what I have heard some of my fans say. It will occur at the appropriate moment,” he declared.
Rejecting the idea that his past nominations were a sign of opportunities lost because of timing, the “Sweetie Pie” singer emphasised that his main objective is to satisfy his fans. Citing his songs “Effiakuma Love” and “Effiakuma Broken Heart” as examples of this adaptability, he emphasised his dedication to writing songs that connect with listeners across a range of emotions and life circumstances.
It is not the intended outcome. All I want to do is serve the public by providing them with relatable songs. He continued, “I just want to provide them with music for every circumstance, event, and state.

Even though Kuami Eugene defeated Kofi Kinaata in the Artiste of the Year competition at the 2020 Ghana Music Awards, he is not giving up.
