Most Ga artistes are not very good at marketing their songs – Kwasi Ernest
Kwasi Ernest, artist manager and CEO of Media Excel has stated that some Ga artistes’ poor marketing skills have hampered the success of their songs in the country.
According to him, most GA artists lack the necessary marketing skills to project their songs and reach greater heights.
He made the remark when asked why most Ga artists do not excel in the music industry compared to other tribes in the country.
He bemoaned the public’s lack of support for GA artists in terms of funding and song promotion, which he blamed for their music’s failure to perform.

Kwesi Ernest, who appeared on OnuaShowtime with Nana Ama Mcbrown on Sunday, September 10, 2023, as a panellist, blamed the non-performance of Ga songs on poor marketing skills by artists and a lack of financial support.
“We manage the majority of the Ga artists ourselves.” For example, Gasmilla does his own thing, and Luther is on his own too. We don’t have people to work with.
“Our marketing abilities are insufficient. If we are to embark on a tour to Sunyani or Kumasi, it requires funds to cater for accommodation and other things, but it appears that we [the Ga artist] do these things by ourselves,” he said.
