Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, is a global music sensation. He recently stated that, in spite of his enormous success and widespread praise, he does not think he has accomplished anything significant in the music business.
He asserts that his career as a crooner is just getting started and emphasises that despite his honours, stream, and chart successes, he has not yet won any significant awards in the music business.
The singer-songwriter revealed this in a recent interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra.
“Wizkid’s journey is about to get underway. I do not consider myself to be someone who has not yet accomplished anything significant. Music will always be a part of me,” he remarked.
As one of the most decorated musicians in Africa, Wizkid has a remarkable record of being the most streamed musician in Sub-Saharan Africa across multiple platforms. Just behind Davido, he is the second-most followed Nigerian musician on social media.
