Ghanaian Gospel singer and engineer, Papa Owura has disclosed his inability to produce a hit song for himself in his musical Journey. On Wednesday, March 22, 2023, the technically gifted Gospel musician granted an exclusive interview to Akua Sika on the Happy Evening Drive in order to promote and increase sales of his most recent release, P3Y3 remix, which has his elder brother, Minister OJ featured On.
The very experienced musician spoke highly of the prospect he sees in his new song, which features his brother. He went on to appreciate how well the new songs is doing and hopes he gets his breakthrough from it.
“I don’t have a hit song yet. P3Y3 is now gaining grounds and promises to give me the breakthrough I have been looking for” Papa Owura revealed when quizzed about his achievements in his musical journey.
The multi talented artist, who doubles as a worship leader at the ICGC prayer Temple in North Legon disclosed that himself and his siblings, which includes popular Ghanaian Gospel musician Minister OJ unearthed their musical talents when they were young. He found the music business a lucrative career worth pursuing and he went for it in the year 2011, where he released his first music Album, BUT THOU.
When asked about the artiste he has featured on his songs in his career so far, the P3y3 singer made mention of OJ, who is on the current song he is promoting and Herty, who was featured on the original song.
Via Minister OJ, Papa Owura was given the privilege to work with seasoned Gospel singer, Philipa Baafi. He assisted the ‘I Go Dance’ hit maker with the arrangement and backing vocals for one of her successful songs. Last Stop.
