I have no issue with Stonebwoy; I’ll interview him if he is willing – Sammy Flex

Sammy Flex, a Ghanaian entertainment broadcaster and artiste manager, has stated that he would be happy to interview dancehall/ reggae artist Stonebwoy, provided the singer is amenable to the idea.

The creator of Sammy Flex TV and manager of Shatta Wale, Kwame Dadzie, revealed in an interview with Showbiz A-Z that he last spoke with the “Therapy” hitmaker a few years ago when they were both at Zylofon FM.

Sammy Flex made it clear that, notwithstanding their past disagreements, he is not at odds with Stonebwoy right now. In addition, he acknowledged that Stonebwoy might have certain reservations because of his managerial position with Shatta Wale and the competitive nature of the Ghanaian music scene.

Sammy Flex clarified, though, that he still interviews artists and keeps his journalistic viewpoint. Stonebwoy is willing to interview if that is his desire.

“The last time I had an encounter with Stonebwoy was when I was at Zylofon FM, when I interviewed him,” he said.

When asked if he had attempted to interview Stonebwoy on his programme since their days at Zylofon, he responded,

“With the top artistes in Ghana, take it or leave it, there is stiff competition among them. So now, knowing my position as manager of Shatta Wale and knowing that there is stiff competition between them, would he throw himself into this game? You understand?

And once more, I am sure that everyone will believe that I am privy to some secret information about particular individuals, including him, due to my position. I believe that he may be unsure of the outcome if he agrees to an interview with me, but I still interview artists while wearing my journalist’s hat. I have conducted artist interviews for Sammy Flex and Class TV. Since I interview musicians daily, I say go ahead if he is willing.

Sammy explained that he always manages to find a balance when asked if his new position as an artiste manager does not conflict with his journalism career.
