Popular Nollywood producer and actress Funke Akindele recently discussed the value of independent thinking and entrepreneurship in women.

In an interview with Arise TV in Nigeria, the well-known director emphasised that women should prioritise entrepreneurship regardless of their personal circumstances.
Akindele asserted that women have the capacity to become financially independent and urged them not to depend on men for success. She questioned the idea that women are incapable of generating income and provided examples, citing the likes of successful female entrepreneurs like Folorunsho Alakija.
The actress advised women not to wait for a huge opportunity to launch their own venture, no matter how small.
Akindele talked about how, based on her personal experiences, she used to purchase handbags from reasonably priced retailers and still felt good about them. She emphasised the significance of having self-confidence.
Funke emphasised the need to keep oneself away from negativity and surround oneself with positive influences. She advised avoiding toxic people and consuming content that could drive one insane because it can impede personal development.

Women should be enterprising, self-reliant, goal-oriented, believe in themselves, and surround themselves with positive people, according to Funke Akindele.
