Why Joe Mettle has refused to collaborate with secular artists
Recently, during an interview on Hitz 103.9 FM, award-winning Ghanaian gospel musician Joe Mettle discussed his thoughts on working with secular artists.

Mettle said that he and rapper Sarkodie have discussed the idea and mutually understood each other’s positions in response to a fan’s question regarding why he has not partnered with Sarkodie, who expressed interest in a collaboration.

Joe Mettle elaborated, saying that his decisions are influenced by spiritual principles and that he would rather not open the door to working with secular artists. “There are reasons why the spirit permits you to do certain things,” he said. But I avoid it on principle until then. He said, “I have a lot of friends, so if I did one collaboration, I would have to do it for everyone else.”
