Hip Life and Hop Hop artiste, Isaac Amoako, branded as Makosam has echoed one of the troubling things upcoming artistes are facing in the Ghanaian Music Industry.
Mokosam was on X Zone with host, JKD on Monday, August 29, 2022 as part of his promotional moves for his new song, Adwuma.
The bright prospect has been through so many professional paths before finally manifesting his musical dreams. He listed ‘Trotro Mate’, Taxi driving, Zoomlion and selling of water with ‘Aboboyaa’.
The young artiste was really passionate about his song. “The song really tells my story. I had nowhere to sleep when I first came to Accra. I had to manage in a hideout just to get some rest”, the passionate singer revealed.
The youngster who has songs with Patapaa, Agbeshie, is managed by Speed Lord, under Alimi Multimedia. Speaking on how he met his record label boss, the talented singer said “I picked him for about 3 times without taking his transportation fare. I was determined to push my music to him for some investment, which finally became a reality”.
“When we call you for a feature, please tone down for us. Mokosam to Mainstream Artistes” Makosam said when he was given the opportunity to give his last words on the program. Most upcoming artistes have lamented on this topic over the years.
Makosam now has his own little studio with Auction Beatz as his residential producer. He also revealed his plans of releasing single songs till he makes a hit song, then, he can serve his fans with an album. He also listed Kofi Kinaata, Fameye, Akwaboah and even Shatta Wale as A-list artistes he looks up to influence his brand. Makosam has songs on various streaming portals for download.
