Wendy Shay is not out of Rufftown, we are still working together – Bullet

Ricky Nana Agyemang, popularly known as Bullet, is the CEO of Rufftown Records and a well-known artist manager in Ghana. He has refuted rumours that Wendy Shay, one of his signees, has left the label.

Remember how Wendy Shay, after revealing that her new music video, “Who Cares,” would debut on her personal channel and removing all Rufftown content from her social media, ignited rumours of a split from Rufftown Records in May 2024?

She acknowledged that her contract with Rufftown was almost up and talked about receiving an offer from an American label, but she has not officially announced that she is leaving the label.

In an interview, Bullet acknowledged the disagreement but said it was almost resolved.

In a July 1 interview with GhanaWeb’s Elsie Lamar, Bullet clarified that she had no beef with Wendy Shay, saying, “Nothing is going on, we are alright.”

He emphasised that Wendy Shay has not left Rufftown Records, despite what some rumours claim, and that their working relationship remains intact. He also stated that the dispute is nearing its end of resolution.

“We had an issue, but we are working to resolve it, have resolved it, or something else. Wendy is still signed to Rufftown Records. Wendy is off Rufftown Records, as I have never stated anywhere. You will therefore undoubtedly hear something,” he stated.

He revealed that Wendy Shay has a different brand from his when questioned about why he did not go to the red carpet with her. He continued, saying, “Even though we have a working relationship and all of that, I am a brand on my own, so I cannot walk on the red carpet with her.”
