The Potter’s City Choir Expresses It’s Gratitude To Ghana National Gospel Awards

The Potter’s City Choir of the World Prayer Centre and the Praying Family Chapel has indicated that it has been challenged to work extra hard, following a recent award the music group bagged.

The choir whose performance for years has always electrified members of the church won the Best Church Choir category at the just ended Ghana National Gospel Music Awards (NGMA) held at the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, August 27, 2022.

The event which was hosted by James Mensah and Eno Safo, saw performances from Amanda (poet), Kwame Gyedu, KobbySalm, Scott Evans, Piesie Esther, Celestine Donkor among others.

Speaking to Myxyzonline.com on the sidelines of the awards, Pastor Martin Asare Yeboah, the Music Pastor for Potter’s City Choir, expressed the group’s gratitude to the organisers of the awards and pledged to do more creative works with the group in coming times.

Pastor Martin, who is also an assistant pastor to the founder of the church, Prophet Nanasei Opoku Sarkodie, said that emerging the winner over ten equally great choirs, meant God was using them to do amazing things.

“The award is a booster for the choir,” he stated as he pledged to increase commitment levels ahead of various tasks beckoning.

“Now, the zeal and the sense of belongingness is felt and we are now restructuring to do more,”he added.

Potters City Choir has a new song titled, ‘Me Yesu’ (My Jesus) which is now being enjoyed by many christians worldwide.

The song was recorded live during a church service and mastered later.

Pastor Martin believes by the Grace of God, the Choir will be rubbing shoulders with globally known choirs in the next few years ahead, as they have beautiful works up their sleeves.

In his quest to nurture talents in the church, Prophet Sarkodie, has instituted Potters City Music platform; a record label which will hone talents to meet global standards.

This platform will manage talents, promote their works and help them ground themselves.

” We have the backing of our spiritual father, Prophet Nanasei Opoku Sarkodie and we will do amazing things to the glory of God,” Pastor Martin concluded .

His advice to gospel talents was for them to be focused and keep praying for strength and inspiration from the Lord.
