Talent And Loyalty Of Artistes Is Vital For Me – Dr Ray
Music Producer, Dr Ray has revealed what he looks out in artistes before adding them to his projects. The young producer who has been part of numerous projects of both A-list and upcoming artistes was on X-Zone with JKD on TV XYZ on Monday, July 25. Dr Ray released a brand new song featuring Atown & Qwesi Thunder, which he entitled, No Noice.
Dr Ray, who was on the third edition of his Afrobeat Europe Tour which started in March and lasted for about 3 months for some music production projects in France, Belgium and Spain. He intends on going back to Europe in the next few weeks. The young man is proud as he is the first Ghanaian producer to successfully go on tour.
‘I try to support the upcoming artistes because I’ve been in the hustle and I’ve been with most of them before I broke onto the scene. The main things I look out for in an upcoming artiste are loyalty and talent. Most of them are eager to release and be in the limelight but I always urge them to be patient and prepare for the opportunity.’ Dr Ray added.
The multiple hit maker, who confirmed working on something with Hajia 4Real with the link up from fellow producer, Master Garzy, made it known that producers have rights and shares in the digital sales of songs produced. This is the reason behind the limelight on producers.
The renowned producer is looking at entering into artiste management and is trying to find investors for such projects. Atown, a group made up of Sweezy and Dade is a group based in Asylum Down in Accra, signed onto Talent House Records owned by the music producer. The duo is about to release a single track out of the numerous songs in stock for the music industry. The duo are looking forward to work with the likes of Ponobiom, Medikal and Shatta Wale on their upcoming releases.
