Stonebwoy eyes global collaborations after winning TGMA Artist of the Year Award
Reggae/dancehall singer and songwriter Stonebwoy is now aiming for even greater success after winning the Telecel Ghana Music Award (TGMA) Artist of the Year.
In an interview with the French television channel France 24, the talented musician revealed his aspirations for future partnerships and his wish to broaden his musical experiences beyond his already remarkable body of work.
“I have always aimed high,” declared Stonebwoy. Collaborating with others has already proven to be enjoyable for me. I can not wait to collaborate with Rihanna and Taylor Swift to make something truly unique now that they are involved,” he said.
Renowned for his skill at deftly fusing dancehall and reggae, the composer of “Therapy” expressed his desire to explore new musical genres and collaborate with a diverse range of international artists.
“From a French perspective, Angelique Kidjo has represented Africa in the diaspora. Additionally, I have collaborated on something in my dancehall or reggae line with Stormzy, Shaggy, Sean Paul, and Buju Banton. I believe I have received a PhD or “appointment specialist” in that field.”

The multiple award-winning crooner hinted at future endeavours that will go against the grain.
“I am a versatile artist, so I want to move away from that a little bit and broaden my audience. There is a chance to produce some incredible hits. In addition, Rick Ross and I are working on something. Hip-hop is undoubtedly something we are going to explore,” he said.
Stonebwoy’s forward-thinking approach and willingness to collaborate on a global scale demonstrate his dedication to pushing musical boundaries and solidifying his position as a prominent figure in the international music landscape.
