Ghanaian Afro Dancehall artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla has finally received a nomination in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for the first time after his incident with Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale at the 20th edition of the awards ceremony on May 19th, 2019. There was a heated confrontation between two top dancehall artistes at the Dome after Stonebwoy was announced as the Reggae/Dancehall artiste for the fifth time in a row.
Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale were given an indefinite ban from the award scheme, which was lifted on Friday, February 12th, 2021. The two artistes are now eligible to participate in the award scheme although the boss of Shatta Movement has stated categorically that he is not enthused about being reinstated into the scheme.
Stonebwoy had two nominations in the Reggae/Dancehall song of the year with “Greedy Men” and “1Gad”. He was also nominated in the Reggae/Dancehall artiste of the year category along with Samini, Larruso and last year winner of the category, Epixode.
