SINGJAY SURPRISES FANS WITH THE LIKES OF IWAN AND CHICAGO AT THIS YEAR’S SINGJAYFEST

Budding  Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall artiste, Ludwick Arthur, known in the Ghanaian Music space as Singjay charged up the Taggetz Pub, formerly known as Boomerang on Saturday, December 10, 2022 with his annual event dubbed Singjayfest.

A number of upcoming talents of which most are based in Caprice and its surrounding towns such as New Town, Avenor and Kokomlemle had the opportunity to exhibit their musical crafts.  There were the likes of Ice Boy, City Vybz, Shelly Vybz, Synconia Milar, Sniper De Lion, BPM Boss and few other promising artistes to show the patrons what they are made of.  DJ Vibez King and MC Wizzyflez were the official DJ and the master of ceremony for the event.


At exactly 1:00am, Singjay, the host of the event mounted the stage to offer some spirit-filled performances for over half an hour.  He was dressed in an all-white attire with the inscription of his name on his jacket and a ‘Singjay Fest’ branded shirt.  He had his colleague artistes and the fans chant along as he performs their favourite songs from him.

Ghanaian veteran rapper Chicago, one of the surprise packages for the show was on stage to give a nostalgic performance of his old hit songs, which got everyone reminiscing on the songs and the feeling they came with.  The performance of the Nipa Ye Adepa Ose Ayeyi hit maker confirmed the statement ‘Class Is Permanent’.


Iwan, the lyrical gunshot also came on stage with enough energy to perform back-to-back hit songs such as Thanks and Praise and Who’s Bad of which the patrons sung along with excitement.  Singjay joined the reggae/dancehall artiste to perform one his songs and showed some appreciation for showing up to support his event.


Veteran Dancehall artiste, Sugar Ranking was on stage with the jungle yard crew to what they know doing best on various dancehall riddims.  There were great performances from the likes of Wan Row, Kofi Kymani, Burning Faya, Fidi, among others.

The Pride of Caprice was able to live up to expectations with this year’s Singjayfest in terms of attendance, artiste performances, venue, patronage.  We hope to have more of this kind from our yet to be established artistes for their communities.
