Sarkodie’s ‘Black Love Concert’, Class Defined Amidst The Brouhaha
Ghanaian Multi-awarding winning rapper, Michael Owusu Addo teamed with Ceek VR, a technology firm based in the UK with support from Industry friends, pulled up a milestone in the history of Ghana music last Sunday, August 16, 2020.
The event which started off on the feud hype pertaining some misunderstanding between Stonebwoy and the manager of Sarkodie, Angel town created a lot of tension in the build up to the event but regardless, the pre-recorded show swept its audience off their feet.
The event started with Sarkodie’s iconic opening on top of Ghana’s historic independence performing his political correct hip hop song, brown paper bag which features M.anifest with well calculated aerial shots and fireworks sending a strong statement to the world about the struggle for black rights.
Various artistes including Yaw Sarpong and Asomafo, King Promise, Sista Afia, Efya, Joey B and surprise reunion between the King of Shatta movement and Sarkodie took turns to perform their renditions of some classic Sarkodie songs.
