Sarkodie is a Better Stage Performer Than Lil Wayne – Andy Dosty

Ghanaian media personality Andy Dosty, has made a bold comparison between Ghanaian rapper Michael Owusu Addo, otherwise known as Sarkodie and American hip-hop star Lil Wayne.

Speaking on Hitz FM on ,Thursday, September 12, 2024, Andy praised both artists for their talents but asserted that Sarkodie outshines Lil Wayne when it comes to live performances. He continued by stating that Lil Wayne, while being one of his favorite rappers, lacks the stage presence and energy that Sarkodie brings to his live shows.

“He is a good rapper, a great performing artist when it comes to records, but on stage, I wasn’t impressed. He’s one of my favorite rappers and musicians in the world.

“Lil Wayne is not just a rapper; he’s a complete musician. However, Sarkodie is a far better performer than Lil Wayne,” he said.

The renowned show host further weighed in on the controversy about Lil Wayne being overlooked for the 2025 NFL Super Bowl halftime show in favor of Kendrick Lamar. He stated, “Lil Wayne won’t do anything. Trust me, if he’s put on that stage, nothing will happen. Look at Usher, Rihanna, and Michael Jackson have you seen their shows.

“Even with good directors, Lil Wayne still wouldn’t cut it,” he emphasized.

Andy, who doubles as a Disc Jockey also recounted his disappointment after attending a Lil Wayne concert during a trip to the U.S. with the CEO of State Housing Company, Kwabena Appiah.

“I saw him perform, but there was nothing to see. I came home angry that day. I was with the boss of State Housing, Nana Appiah,” he remarked.
