‘Samini reaped what he sowed’ – Iwan on Samini-Sarkodie collaboration saga
Sarkodie and Samini’s feud has now included Ghanaian musician Iwan.
Remember how Sarkodie was reprimanded by the head of high-grade music for not wanting to be in his song at some point in 2023?
Iwan, however, offers his perspective on the incident, saying that Samini ought to have received the same treatment from Sarkodie and citing past encounters with comparable circumstances.

Samini is among the people I am mentioning. He was one of the artists we first approached about working together, but until I became well-known, he never made an offer. In an interview with Accra FM, Iwan disclosed that even in the absence of his assistance, he had observed my commitment and progress.
Saying, “Now see as someone has done it to him,” he made the point that one must naturally reap what one sows “in this world.”

But Iwan listed some of the reasons why A-list musicians do not work together very often.
The reggae/dancehall singer said artists, particularly great lyricists, have a great sense of pride and, as such, are only interested in collaborating with people similar to them.
According to him, the main worries are usually about “who will take over” and “who will have the sickest verse.”
The “Thanks & Praise” hitmaker criticised this “competition mindset,” claiming it is not representative of who he is.
In addition, Iwan recalled that nearly all artists had been “fighting for power, authority, territory, domain, rulership, kingship, and so on” during the early stages of their careers.
He stated, “I dispersed the energy and did not keep my energy to myself, and my fans know it,” in contrast.
