Please, Involve Dancers To Your Show – Usher 1 Charges United Showbiz Producers
American-based Ghanaian dance instructor, Usher 1 has poured his frustration about the involvement of the dance fraternity in the Ghanaian Entertainment media space.
Usher Frimpong in a Facebook post cited the exclusion of dancers from entertainment programs, specifically United Showbiz, which is hosted be celebrated Ghanaian movie actress, Nana Ama McBrown. He added the fact that he is an ardent follower of the television show.
“Over the past two years I have been religiously watching all your Saturdays evening entertainment show, dubbed United Showbiz and I must say I love it and you have served us, Ghanaians with great entertainment topics, discussions, personalities, musicians, actors, comedians, among others.”
The passion driven request was charged to the desk of Fadda Dickson to assist in pushing the dancers on their prestigious platform. It is a good call for other entertainment platforms to take the task up as it is a collective responsibility of every stakeholder of the entertainment industry.
Usher Frimpong, a Management team member of International Kizomba Awards USA, formed the Ghana Dance Association over five years ago to aid the elevation of dancers in the entertainment industry in Ghana. He posted on the same social media platform about his excitement with the involvement of dancers and how they were able to prove their worth at last year’s Global Citizen Festival which took place at the Independent Square in Accra, Ghana.
It is just a call in the right direction, and hopefully, other branches will also ask of their pan of flesh.
