Okada is the number 1 killer in Ghana, yet you want to legalize it – Vim Lady descends on Mahama

The controversial media figure Afia Pokua, popularly known as Vim Lady, has criticized National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama for his plan to legalize Okada business.

She claims that if John Mahama is successful in legalizing the Okada industry, which provides commercial motorbike transport services in Ghana, the result will only be an increase in traffic accidents, which will raise the death toll.

She lamented that John Mahama would give in to pressure from some of the nation’s Okada drivers and legalize their business, putting citizens’ lives in danger.

Speaking on the Okay FM political program Egyaso Gyaso, which GhanaWeb is watching, Vim Lady criticized John Mahama for the notion and warned him to second-guess his choice and, if feasible, throw it out in order to save lives.

In a similar vein, despite the fact that okada is the leading cause of death in Ghana, we persuaded Mahama to legalize it due to our evil mentality. People will tell you that there are not enough jobs, so let us build factories. If there are no jobs, is it wise to commit suicide? Do you think it makes sense? According to the MTTD report, accidents were primarily caused by taxis and trotro in the past, but as of right now, Okada is the leading cause of accidents in Ghana, the speaker stated.

“They will threaten not to vote, even when the police enforce the helmet-wearing regulations for Okada riders,” she continued. 37 military hospital drivers threatened not to vote for Mahama in 2016 because soldiers were arresting them, and they followed through on their threat.”
