NFA-Action Group Petitions Tourism Minister To Open Cinemas
NFA-Action Group, a creative arts pressure group has bared its teeth to the Minister for Tourism Creative Arts and Culture, Honourable Barbara Oteng Gyasi to lobby on their behalf to enable the re-opening of the cinemas to enhance crippling devastation effects Covid-19 had on the film industry.
In a press statement, the pressure group outlined their assessment of Covid-19 and measures proposed to ensure the safety of patrons, as well as a tracking initiative to ascertain the demography of the cinema enthusiasts.
According to the release, they challenged why open bars, pubs and religious institutions were allowed to operate while Cinemas remain closed in as much as they can equally adhere to effective social distancing protocols.
They posited that if they are allowed to operate they may overturn the fiscal losses they have made since the beginning of the year.
