Multiple award winning actress and TV host, Nana Ama McBrown, known in real life as Felicity Ama Agyemang has made a swift switch in the Ghanaian media space. The beautiful actress was the host of United Showbiz since its inception, with the likes of Abeiku Santana, Kwame A Plus, Bulldog, and Yvonne Nelson hosting the show intermittently in her absence.
There have been different reactions to this decision by Nana Ama McBrown as there have been multiple times where most individuals expected her to abandon her post, which did not materialize. After few moments of her resignation from her role as host of UTV’s United Showbiz, the celebrated actress has joined Media General’s Onua TV and Onua FM to take up a new challenge in the media industry.
Popular media personality, Gloria Akpene Nyarku-Acquah, popularly known as MzGee moved in to replace the celebrated actress as host of U TV’s late night celebrity TV show. The move of the former host of Mentor and ShowBuzz on TV3 and 3FM under Media General to Despite Media did not raise as many eye brows as McBrown’s move to the opposite direction has.
Controversial blogger, Aba the Great insinuated that despite being treated well, paid well and accepted with open arms during her time at UTV, the ambassador for Royal Drinks, MacBerry biscuits, among others has left the media firm. This comes after McBrown’s disappearance from the show about a couple of weeks ago.
