MUSIGA to organise concert for up and coming artistes on 6th March – Bessa Simons

The Musician’s Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), setting the stage for an exciting musical showcase, is organising a concert on March 6, 2024, to honour emerging artists.

This was announced by Union President Bessa Simons on Joy FM at the beginning of Ghana Month.

He said, “We are working with the Akwaaba Festival to have a show at the National Theatre forecourt, and what we are doing is having the young, up-and-coming musicians come and showcase their talents because they do not usually have big stages, lights, or a Facebook thing.”

This is an attempt, according to Bessa Simons, to give young people a platform to showcase their abilities. He revealed how dedicated the company is to developing new talent and giving them a chance to shine.

“Just look at them and see if you can do business with them because these are the futures we have,” Bessa said about the corporate managers that she was inviting.

The previous music booklet made more of a mention of the Accra Tourist Information Center’s March 5, 2024, music and tourism workshop and health screening for musicians.

To revive interest in Ghanaian music, MUSIGA also plans to launch a project on March 11, 2024, called Let Us Play Ghana Music. He mentioned that a second concert will support Highlife on March 30, 2024, at the Gold Coast Restaurant.
