“Mohbad needs an African Tribute song”- Shatta Wale

The death of Promise Oladimeji Aloba, 27, known professionally as MohBad, has sparked outrage on social media in recent days.


While many Nigerians are looking for answers about his death and the circumstances surrounding his death, Ghanaian Dancehall musician Shatta Wale believes he deserves a tribute song.


On Monday, September 18, the “On God”  hitmaker expressed his heartfelt condolences to Nigerians in a tweet, adding that a tribute song will benefit the late Mohbad.

I am sorry to hear about your loss, Naija. I think Mohbad needs an African Tribute song. Rest in power, Megastar,” he wrote.

The news of MohBad’s death shook the music industry, with many artists and fans expressing their shock and sadness.


MohBad, known for his distinct musical style and captivating stage presence, was quickly rising to prominence in Nigeria’s music scene. His abrupt departure has left a void that will undoubtedly be felt by fans and colleagues alike.


Mohbad was laid to rest earlier today, Wednesday, 13th of March 2023, in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
