At the Achimota Overhead, which is near the Achimota Forest, Ghanaian musician Kuami Eugene was involved in a car accident.
On March 17, 2024, Sunday, at around 11:30 p.m., he crashed his car into the back of a tipper truck.
He was driven to the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) along with another passenger by a reporter who was on the scene.

In addition, he dispatched the Achimota Police to the area.
In an interview with the media, the journalist stated, “I realised it was Kuame Eugene when I stopped and raced to save them because I was behind them.” His right hand was deeply cut, and he suffered a fractured wrist.”

He added that the musician’s collision with the tipper truck occurred while it was moving slowly.
He thinks the accident happened because there was insufficient lighting on the N1 highway, making it very dark, and the tipper truck had no tail light, making visibility even worse.
