Reggae-dancehall musician Stonebwoy has been named the most diligent Ghanaian artist of 2023 by well-known media personality and fashion designer Kofi Okyere Darko, better known by his stage name KOD.
KOD complimented the “Therapy” hitmaker for his commitment to the Ghanaian music industry during an interview with Johnnie Hughes on 3FM. He lamented, though, that despite all of Stonebwoy’s accomplishments in the music industry, he has not been able to reach higher levels that would validate his work and elevate him to the top of worldwide rankings.

The media personality continued by saying that people in the creative industries find it challenging to make ends meet in the country because their pay is frequently insufficient and their benefits are never received right away.
“Take a look at Stonebwoy, who is arguably the most diligent musician in Ghana as of 2023, in my opinion. What is going on locally, though? Is he affected by it? Is it possible to put a number on the work he has done? I doubt we can in terms of the money he makes from copyright. Nothing will happen if he is not registered outside and is concentrating on Ghanaian copyright, he stated.

KOD went on to bemoan the ways in which industry participants have been impacted by the lack of funding in the creative space and went into detail about what it takes to succeed.
“I see a connection between being a teacher and being a part of this creative space. Heaven is where your reward will most likely be found; it does not happen instantly.
In order to accomplish tasks, you must be very deliberate about breaking through doors and windows and physically entering spaces. It might never happen if you truly choose to relax or hold out for that perfect opportunity,” he continued.
