Mettle stated that “KODA had this small corner studio” in Takoradi at the time.

When KODA travelled from Takoradi to Accra, he recalled, “We used to play for [the late] Minister Danny Nettey every few weeks,” with the recently deceased musician and record producer taking care of the team’s guitars.

We spent a lot of time together, gisting, talking about plans, and all of those things,” he recalled, emphasising that the last time we saw him in Takoradi “was the last event we had.”

“He said he was about to produce a new album the last time I spoke with him, because I rent [music] equipment and stuff on the side,” he went on.

Joe Mettle said he would give KODA the equipment he needed as soon as he was ready, and then he apparently took off for the United States of America (USA).

He paid respects, stating, “He was a great guy,” to the multi-award winning contemporary gospel musician and sound engineer Koda. Amazing sibling in every way.”

He highlighted KODA’s humility and willingness to help, pointing out that despite “being the younger one,” he would still seek his advice.

As Joe Mettle ultimately stated, “God knows best.”
