I’ve Produced 36 Musicians and 76 Albums – Kaakyire Appiah

The legendary highlife musician from Ghana, Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, has revealed that over the course of his career, he has produced roughly 36 artists in the nation.

The crooner stated, “I have produced 36 musicians who have collectively released 76 albums,” on Wednesday, August 14, during an appearance on the Asaase Breakfast Show.

 

Kwame Mickey used to run his company, Kaakyire Music Productions, he said, but the music business has changed a lot since the days of cassettes and CDs.

 

Osuni Afrifa, Hallelujah Voices, Sibo Brothers, and Paa Solo are among the musicians he has worked with.

 

“Ex Doe is another one of the many people I have produced. He said, “I have worked with people like Reverend Michael Osei Bonsu, Abena Amponsah, Uncle Ato, and many more. We have collaborated on about five or seven albums with Paa Solo.”

Additionally, the singer of “Yekodi Bronya” declared his passion for gospel music.

 

“I love gospel music; that is me, but what I know is that the gospel people followed King David, and we, the highlife people, are also following his son, Solomon, so I have to blend all of them. I love gospel music,” he added.
