I’ve not smoked in 5 months – Shatta Wale

Charles Nii Armah Mensah, better known as Shatta Wale in the music industry, is an award-winning reggae/dancehall musician from Ghana who has quit smoking five months ago.

 

The “Taking Over” hitmaker revealed this while discussing his experiences in the music business with some upcoming musicians in his hotel room. The singer is currently in Navrongo.

Among other things, he advised them not to use illicit substances. He mentioned how giving up smoking had made a big difference in his life. While acknowledging his appreciation.

 

He pointed out that going through this period of abstinence has helped him focus on his music, think more clearly, and build his reputation.

 

As he counsels a young artist whose drug use is having a detrimental effect on him to stop using drugs and devote all of his attention to his career, Shatta Wale is acting as a voice of reason.

Despite smoking marijuana, he continued, he has been abstaining from the drug for the previous five months.

The singer-songwriter emphasised the negative effects of tramadol and other drugs, advising his fellow musicians to avoid using them.

 

For their own and their careers’ advancement, he also exhorted musicians to put their music first and make wise decisions.
