The controversial boxer claims that, because of the possible health risks associated with this harmful beauty trend, he has long since given up on it. Banku went on to say that he bleached his skin because he wanted to be extremely handsome. But he decided to stop it after some “big men” gave him advice.

The boxer revealed this during an interview with Akua Sonto on the Ayekoo Ayekoo programme on Accra 100.5 FM.
“The large men in the building told me to stop bleaching so that you would not see it again. I am done now. Bleaching is bad because it can cause all types of cancer,” the speaker stated.

To a greater extent, Bukom Banku revealed that although he had no known negative effects from the beauty trend, he decided to stop after listening to the “big men in Ghana.” Knowing the ins and outs of the creams, he claims that bleaching only takes him a month. He clarified that he was using creams rather than drugs, as the local pastor believed.
“I was even called to stop by one of my London-based doctors. I will be looking decent after a month of use,” he continued.
