It Took me 25 Minutes To Record ‘Down Flat’ – Kelvyn Boy Reveals

Ghanaian music sensation Kelvyn Boy recently revealed a surprising and impressive detail about one of his hit songs.

His ‘Down Flat’ song, he claims, was recorded in just 25 minutes, shedding light on the creative process behind the music.

Kelvynboy revealed that recording the song was not planned and that he is gifted with the ability to churn out good songs in minutes. He revealed that the moment he heard the beat, he put together harmonies and then a few words, giving birth to the hit song.

The ‘Momo’ hitmaker revealed this in an exclusive interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM.

“I do not know how I do it sometimes,” he admitted. Down Flat took 25 minutes to record. It sounds like I planned the entire recording at times. I began humming the melodies when I heard the beat at home. The first verse just happened to come first. “The second verse came later because I was experimenting with different styles.”

It will be remembered that the song was a hit when it was released in 2022. It was included on Billboard’s Top 50 Afrobeats Songs Chart alongside other major Afrobeats artists such as Wizkid, Tems, Davido, Fireboy DML, and a slew of others.
