I’m ready to share my connections with other musicians – MOG

Nana Yaw Boakye, a contemporary Ghanaian gospel singer and songwriter better known by his stage name MOG Music, has declared that he is prepared to lend his meagre connections to fellow crooners in order to further the cause of Ghanaian music.

The multiple award-winning singer and pastor believes that Ghanaian music should be heard on a global scale. He feels that he has succeeded in reaching the American market, which he understands to be the best in the world of music marketing.

In an interview with Hitz FM’s Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, the “Mala” hitmaker made this claim.

“In my opinion, it will be fantastic to have a Ghanaian on that stage and to bring some of our own people with us so that the world can see what amazing music we have in Ghana,” the man said. “It is the height of music marketing.”

Recounting how he met popular American gospel icon Donnie McClurkin and how he has been a blessing in his life, the singer—who has recently made some strides overseas—went on.

Additionally, he revealed that being featured on “Be Lifted” was a blessing.

“He introduced me to Israel Houghton, Phill Thompson, the Winans Brothers, and Cece Winans. I have been blessed by that man. What he has given me in return is priceless, but it cost me an arm and a leg to bring him,” he remarked.

Moving further, MOG disclosed that he had launched a record label and would shortly be signing some up-and-coming gospel artists.

“I want to sign some up-and-coming gospel musicians to my new record label, Levites Records. I just launched the label. My desire is for Ghanaian gospel musicians to advance.

We should share this with the world, in my opinion. He continued, “I want to carefully share my connections so that no one comes and pours sand into my gari.
