‘I’ll speak the truth now’ – Mohbad’s father opens up on son’s death, pleads for forgiveness
In an exclusive interview with BBC Yoruba, Mohbad’s father discussed events that took place on the day of his son’s passing.
The incident was described by Mohbad’s father in vivid detail, including how he arrived at his son’s home after learning of his death.
He also explained why they were denied a police report and why they buried him quickly.

Regarding the fact that Mohbad was buried just 24 hours after he passed away, his father said there was no room in the mortuary where they had taken him and he could not bear to look at his sin’s corpse.
“Around three o’clock, my son passed away; no one called. When I got to his house at ten o’clock, there was a sizable crowd there. A police report was not provided to us by the station. There was no room at the mortuary when we tried to take him there, so I was unable to keep an eye on him. I had to bury myself. Nigerians should forgive me if I offend them. No one loves him as much as I do, he declared in a well-known video.

Sam Larry and Naira Marley were accused of physically abusing the deceased father’s son on numerous occasions.
He continued by saying that he had told him on numerous occasions that Naira Marley was bad before his son’s passing.
This pattern of fear, according to Mohbad’s father, continued with further incidents of violence, including the recent one during a video shoot with Zlatan.
