The debate over the advantages of obtaining a foreign passport versus a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree has been addressed by Kumawood actor Joseph Osei, better known by his stage name Wayoosi.

The well-known actor maintained that the two should not be compared because they have completely different functions.
Wayoosi made the case in a social media video that having a foreign passport is more advantageous than having a PhD.
He went on to say that he would still go for the foreign passport even if the PhD included a law degree.

“Alright, enough with this meaningless argument. How does one compare a PhD to a foreign passport? My selection would still be the foreign passport even if you were to combine a law degree with a PhD. “Avoid stressing yourself out by not overanalyzing this,” he added.
