I wrote 80% of Mr Drew’s “Case”; he failed to credit me, and dropped it without my permission- Kuami Eugene
Kuami Eugene, a Lynx Entertainment signee, has revealed that he wrote roughly 80% of Mr Drew’s hit song “Case.”
He wrote the hook and some of the second verse, according to “Rockstar.”
“Case” by Mr Drew “I wrote the hook as well as some of the second verse.” I wrote about 80% of that song. In fact, before he arrived to record the song, he heard the hook and sang it back. So I also write for other artists,” Kuami Eugene explained to Naana Donkor Arthur in an interview.
Kuami Eugene explains that despite writing what appears to be one of Ghana’s most popular songs right now, he has not received the necessary credit, and it pains him that he has to use this platform to call Mr Drew out.
“It is unfortunate that this is the platform I have to send a message to Mr Drew, pleading with him to do what he needs to do because the song is doing well.” That is an excellent hook. “It would have been a hit song if I had just sung it by myself because I wrote that song thinking about people wishing me well,” he lamented.

Kuami Eugene also expressed a desire to have his talents recognised in the entertainment industry.
“He is my brother.” “I wish we could give credit where credit is due in the industry and respect so that we can move forward as individuals,” he said.
He continued. When I was in America, all I could hear from him was Bro, the song, make we drop. That is when he texted to ask if we should drop the song, but due to the time difference, I was asleep, and when I woke up, he had not informed my manager or anyone else, and the second person who was present when we recorded the song texted me later to tell me he had dropped the song. I texted him (Drew) to inquire, and he left me on read.
