I would perform at a nightclub if invited – Broda Sammy

Broda Sammy, a well-known gospel performer in Ghana, has shared his distinctive strategy for sharing the gospel.

If invited, he said he would have no problem performing and sharing the gospel in bars and nightclubs.

Broda Sammy said he does not pick and choose who to work with during an appearance on TV3’s Showbiz 360. He said, “I do not look at people and say they are non-believers, so I will not work with them.” They seem like people to me. That is it.

Broda Sammy disclosed that he has been turned down by numerous churches for performances at their facilities, so he has turned his attention to other venues.

“I will go to a bar or nightclub if they invite me to perform. I will go if I get an invitation from a secular artist. I use every chance to get the word out there,” he said.

He clarified that because they draw people who might not typically attend church, nightclubs and drinking establishments are excellent venues for evangelization.

“I understand that everyone in church is there to hear the gospel. However, I go to the nightclubs to win souls; they are not there for such purposes,” he remarked.

Broda Sammy criticized other Christians for their conventional approaches, asking why Christians could preach in marketplaces but not in nightclubs, and asserting that the approach to spreading the gospel needs to be changed.

“Pastor’s can preach in markets; why can not they go to bars or clubs? They do not know how to win souls.

“Why can not we adjust our approach, even if the devil has changed his? We ought to go to the clubs where people go to commit sins in order to lead praise and worship, the speaker declared.
