In his response, Kinaata addressed the widespread belief among music enthusiasts that he became well-known mainly as a result of being discovered by major players in the industry such as Castro, Samini, and Dr. Pounds.
The hitmaker of “Effiakuma Broken Heart” emphasised that they did not find him and that he was already performing music when he first met them.
Kinaata clarified, “The topic of discovery is sometimes overused or overemphasised,” in an interview with Tony Best on Akoma FM’s Entertainment 360 on Saturday.Discovering someone means unearthing raw potential and letting the individual realise his or her talent; that’s what I call discovery.”
“I am grateful to all these personalities for their sterling contributions to my music career, they put me on a good pedestal, but I don’t owe my talent and music career to them.”

“This suggests that I was already producing music when I first met Dr. Pounds in Takoradi. I had been selected to participate in a rap competition, which I eventually won.”
Promoting his EP “Kofi oo Kofi,” Kofi Kinaata is doing so right now.
