The popular Afrobeats artist from Ghana, Camidoh, has spoken out about the viral video that went viral last year and showed him smoking an unknown substance.

The artist revealed that he was going through personal struggles after a heartbreak in an interview with Hitz FM on June 18, 2024. He also revealed that he turned to smoking as a coping mechanism for the pain.
He said that people who have followed his career may have been taken aback by the video, but he begged them to forgive him because he was “going through real pain.”

Telling the whole story was crucial for me. that perhaps this previous kid you knew was not in this lane.
“I had specific encounters. In light of this, if you are disappointed, remember that someone was truly suffering. What you saw was a result of that,” he said.

While on a promotional tour for his new song, “Nothing Lasts Forever,” which recounts his personal experience of losing a loved one due to misunderstandings, Camidoh made these remarks.
