I wanted to become a teacher, music was not my dream – MABEL OKYERE
Amazing Ghanaian Gospel musician Mabel Okyere spoke live in an interview on Happy FM 98.9 with Akua Sika on the Happy Evening Drive Show.
She talked about her wanting to be a teacher as her profession, yet her parents also wanted her to be a nurse. But she believes it’s only the will of God that will prevail. That is why she is a Gospel musician today.
In the interview, Mabel encouraged and advised her fans and listeners of Happy fm that no one should harm him or herself because God knows best.

She explained that even though the musical journey has not been smooth and easy, she knows her new single ‘Anuonyam’ is a testimony to her ordeals and all she has been through. She added that the song has come to speak on their behalf.
She added that despite the song being titled ‘Anuonyam,’ ‘Ahayekwanho’ best explains the song because people must learn to keep mute in their situation.
Before ending the interview she made it clear that she will have her tenth anniversary for her music career and a single launch for her new song.
