I Want to be a combination of Don Jazzy, Olamide – Joeboy

Joseph Akinwale, better known by his stage name Joeboy, is a Nigerian music sensation who recently declared his intention to follow in the footsteps of his more experienced colleagues, Olamide and Don Jazzy, who are both successful musicians and record labels.

The “Sip (Alcohol)” hitmaker says he respects the two extremely successful musicians because they did not just carve out niches for themselves but also provided other avenues for success in the music business.

Speaking on a recent episode of Joey Akan’s Afrobeats Intelligence Podcast, Joe disclosed this. He went on to say that he was excited about what lay ahead for him after leaving Mr. Eazi’s Empawa and starting his record label, Young Legend.

“I used to always tell my friends back then that I wanted to be a mix of Don Jazzy and Olamide, which is why I am so excited about what is to come. Because it’s one thing to come into the game and create your wave, and then help others and facilitate a lot more waves.
