I played a major role in Black Sherif’s musical success – Kwame Yesu

Kwame Yesu, a gifted musician from Ghana who is well-known for his dynamic fusion of hip-hop and afrobeat, has boldly stated that he played a major part in his colleague Black Sherif’s success in the music business.

 

In an open conversation with VJ Scaro of Ameyaw TV, the “Anadwo” hitmaker revealed that he was a major factor in Black Sherif’s rise to fame, providing insight into the collaborative dynamics that lead to an artist’s breakthrough.

Yesu claims that following their collaboration, he introduced the producer of Blacko’s “First and Second Sermon,” who is currently the reigning Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) “Artiste of the Year.”

 

I can say that he was a major factor in Black Sherif’s success because I introduced him to the producer of his “First and Second Sermon.” He got to know Stallion because of our collaboration with Blacko.”

When asked what he thought about his colleagues becoming so successful in the music industry and making waves around the world, Yesu replied, “It was kind of mixed feelings.” People always seem to have a lot of questions, so sometimes you are happy and sometimes you are sad. However, people tend to forget that everything has its proper time. I might just be a helper to destiny.”
