I never stopped playing for Shatta, he is still my guy – DJ Vyrusky
A rumour that he and well-known dancehall artist Shatta Wale were splitting up has been refuted by renowned Ghanaian disc jockey DJ Vyrusky.
During an interview with TV3, DJ Vyrusky, whose real name is Kofi Amoako, made it clear that he is still dedicated to the Shatta Movement and that he and Shatta Wale have never parted.

He told a story about how his first-ever on-stage experience with Shatta Wale inspired him to be a better person.
“It is been a while since I performed for him, but I never stated anywhere that I was done performing for Shatta,” he remarked. I still adore Shatta.
“I had faith before I began performing for Shatta Wale. At the time, I was not working with Charles Nii Armah Mensah when I went to see him perform at the stadium. Goosebumps ran down my spine. I asked myself, “Who is that guy?”
DJ Vyrusky assured supporters that his loyalty to the Shatta Movement brand is unwavering, but he acknowledged that his hectic schedule occasionally prevents him from spending time with Shatta Wale.
“So, my faith in the Shatta Wale brand has never wavered. I am not always around because I work with KiDi, Kuami Eugene, and other Lynx artists. I am not around most of the time. So, a long time has passed. But I am not going anywhere,” he said.
