I have no regrets blocking Davido – Medikal

Afrobeats musician Davido from Nigeria was blocked on Instagram, but Ghanaian rapper Medikal says he does not regret it.

Recall that in the beginning of May 2024, a dispute arose between a few rappers from Ghana and Dremo, a Nigerian rapper signed to Davido.

After Sarkodie mentioned Burna Boy, Davido, and Wizkid in his song “Brag,” Dremo made fun of him in a song.

Many Ghanaian rappers responded to this, including Phrimpong, Don Itch, and Lyrical Joe.

In a move that many saw as an expression of rage, Davido unfollowed several Ghanaian musicians on Instagram, including Medikal and M.anifest.

Davido was blocked by Medikal as payback.

During the story’s presentation, the “Omo Ada” hitmaker hinted that he values loyalty and respect in relationships and expressed that he had no regrets about his decision in a live interview on Starr FM.

The rapper made additional allusions to the underlying causes of the dispute, but he decided to keep them quiet.

“After he unfollowed me, I blocked him because I thought it was cool. I do not want to discuss the reason why, but there is one. I do not regret obstructing him.

It is serene; perhaps the cosmos will reunite us at some point in the future. I am not out there searching for issues. However, I simply follow my own path if someone I love expresses the opposite to me,” he said.

Despite the tension, Medikal made it clear he had no animosity towards Davido by saying he was still willing to perform with him on stage in the future.

He said that he is open to settling disputes through communication and compared the circumstances to his recent reconciliation with fellow Ghanaian artist D-Black.

“I would not mind sharing the stage with Davido.” I release things from within. I am the same way I was when D-Black came in and we made things right.

He said, “When we get together and talk, we settle things. If something bothers me, I will react.”
