Harriet Naa Akleh Okantey, a seasoned actress from Ghana who is best known for her role as Auntie Bee in the hit series Efiewura, has revealed that she has no real estate or notable accomplishments to show for her lengthy career in film.

On Wednesday, July 24, the thespian revealed in an open interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM that her commitment to acting, motivated by her love for the art, left her with little time to pursue other careers.
Auntie Bee went on to say that, at one point in her career, she deliberately decided against having children because she thought it would interfere with her ability to pursue her career.
The well-known actress acknowledged that she regrets not pursuing other opportunities or learning new skills because her acting career took priority over them. After more than thirty years in the entertainment industry, Auntie Bee expressed disappointment at not owning any property and having to rely only on her notoriety to get recognition.

Auntie Bee added that she has realized the adage “time waits for no man” is true and that she is burdened by the fact that she has not gained any noteworthy knowledge or accomplishments outside of her acting career.
She also mentioned how football, not acting, had given her the first opportunity to travel abroad and that most of her personal items, including cars, were gifts from private individuals.
