As you may remember, King Promise congratulated the “Therapy” hitmaker Stonebwoy on winning the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Artiste of the Year (AOTY) title. But Stonebwoy raised eyebrows and did not reply, much to the dismay of music enthusiasts and fans of both musicians.
Stonebwoy made it abundantly evident in an exclusive interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM that there is no deep-seated animosity or unresolved matter between him and the “Terminator” singer.
He continued by explaining that the overwhelming number of messages he received following the award ceremony was the reason for his silence, not any personal strife.

“There is no reason why I should not reply to King Promise’s post expressing congratulations on X. I have no personal grudges against King Promise. I cannot argue with him because he is my younger brother in business. I can say that his message ended up in that basket because I have not replied to many such congratulations,” Stonebwoy said.
When Stonebwoy received a congratulations message from King Promise on winning TGMA Artist of the Year, there were rumours of a possible rift. Stonebwoy chose not to publicly acknowledge King Promise’s post. Following the two musicians’ respective contributions to the global promotion of Ghanaian music, fans immediately conjectured about a potential split between them.
Stonebwoy commended King Promise and conveyed his respect and admiration for him, emphasising their shared dedication to growing the Ghanaian music sector. “King Promise is a gifted artist and a business brother. There is no place for needless conflict because our shared objective is to elevate our culture and music.”
