Ace music producer Kwame Appiah, known in the music industry as kwame Mickey of Kaakyire Music Production in an exclusive interview on Legends Show hosted by Agyemang Prempeh on TV XYZ made this shocking revelation about gospel artistes in Ghana.
“I had money problem with most artiste in different genre of music but the Gospel artistes gave me tough times when It comes to their money.
The renowned producer said this when ask which genre of artistes gave him most problems in his time as a music producer.
Born on 15th August, 1972 at Tafo- Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, Kwame Mickey a Form 4 leaver from Apprandang LA completed school in 1987 went to Yeji to sell second hand clothes with his Uncle and later moved to Accra where he started hawking.
Kwame Mickey developed great passion and love for music production when his brother started his recordings as a commercial artiste in 1993 and since then has been on this journey.
Kwame loves what he does and has worked with 40 artistes and also worked on 75 albums. Some of the big names he has worked with are Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, Osuani Afrifa, Charlie Pee, Nana Yaw Asare, Ex- Doe, Terry BonChaka, Stella Addo, Hallelujah Voices, Abena Amponsah, Uncle Atto, Dr. Paa Bobo , Bishop Michael Osei Bonsu, Paa Solo(Sibo Brothers), Amakye Dede, Mama Martha, Aseibu Amenfi and many others.
Working in Ghana for so many years without his family, the producer In 2012, decided to move to America to finally settle with his family.
