I don’t get booked for shows – Wiyaala on reason she hasn’t been visible

Wiyaala, a singer and songwriter from Ghana, has given an explanation for why she is not well-known in her own nation when it comes to event performances.

She stated that, the majority of the time, concert organisers do not book her to perform.

She went on to say that she does not live in Accra and finds it difficult to get invited to perform at events, which she feels has harmed her career.

Wiyaala clarified that, contrary to what some members of the public believed, she has never taken a break from music in an interview with 3FM that was aired and recorded by Remedi Entertainment.

“My career in music has never stopped. I was not scheduled for any events, which is why. For what reason would I stop? I make a living off of music, which is my life. I will be writing songs, sewing clothes, or teaching the kids if I am not doing that.

“People find it challenging to get in touch with me because I am not based in Accra and I do not attend events. People can learn more about what I do from my social media accounts. Consequently, since I began singing, I have never taken a break in my life,” she remarked.

During the recent 13th African Games closing ceremony, Wiyaala was among the performers who thrilled the crowd at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
