The well-known Nigerian musician Simisola Bolatito Ogunleye, better known by her stage name Simi, recently disclosed that she does not charge other musicians for features.

The “Joromi” hitmaker claims that she has never charged an artist for a feature, explaining that she is picky about the songs she chooses to feature and will only do so if she truly enjoys them. Simi emphasised that the creative process flows easily, and she writes her part for the song quickly when she finds a song that speaks to her.
The well-known crooner revealed this information in an exclusive interview with The Tea with Tay podcast.

“Till this moment, I have never charged for a feature. For me to do a feature, I have to like it.
“I have to like the song. If I like the song, give me half a day, and I am done. If I don’t like the song, I will most likely say no. It’s not personal. I can take a ‘no. Things are not personal; it’s just what they are,” she said.
