The theologian made the observation that Great Ampong had to settle disagreements with people in order to appear honourable before God in order to be ordained as a minister of God.
The artist quickly complied with Archbishop Adonteng’s suggestion that Great Ampong apologise to Daddy Lumba for previous transgressions.
Contrary to some reports, Adonteng clarified that Great Ampong was not compelled to apologise to Daddy Lumba in a chat with blogger Zionfelix.
“Ampong’s dispute with Daddy Lumba was known to me prior to my ordaining him, and there were concerns raised regarding the reason behind Ampong’s insult to Lumba. You do not have to decide in favour of the younger party in a dispute to move forward; at least one party must accept the other’s position.

“My concern was that since Ampong is the younger, he should apologise to Lumba to clear his heart. I do not care if it is Lumba’s or Ampong’s fault.
Ampong agreed and behaved appropriately after I gave him advice. The clergyman stated in Twi, “I just gave Ampong advice; there was no pressure.
This comes after Great Ampong asked Daddy Lumba to pardon him for their previous arguments in an effort to mend their relationship.
Public opinion on the apology was divided; some claimed that Great Ampong had been coerced into issuing it by Archbishop Adonteng.
